DAB board member Alexander von Uslar becomes CFO of Hypo Real Estate Holding AG on October 1st 2009

Munich, May 18, 2009

Alexander von Uslar, a member of the Management Board of DAB bank AG, is joining in the Management Board of Hypo Real Estate Holding AG with effect from October 1, 2009, when he will take up the position of CFO.

Alexander von Uslar has been with DAB bank AG for nine years. In his previous position as an attorney, he provided legal advice to DAB bank AG during its IPO in 1999, before joining the bank in June 2000 as Executive Vice President. He has been Chief Financial Officer and HR Director since December 2001, and is also responsible for Internal Audit, Communications, Legal Affairs, Compliance, and Credit.

"Alexander von Uslar has been involved with the company for a long time. During his nine years with DAB bank AG, he has helped to turn it into the leading direct bank for securities trading in Germany and Austria. DAB bank AG is losing an excellent chief financial officer. Even if I can understand his decision to take up an interesting new challenge outside the company, I regret the fact that he is leaving us. On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I would like to wish him all the best in his new position," comments Dr. Theodor Weimer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DAB bank AG.

"It's not easy for me to leave DAB bank. The bank and above all its staff have become very dear to me over the last few years. DAB bank has an outstanding, highly motivated, and committed team, and will continue to stand for success and innovation in online banking into the future. At the same time, I'm looking forward to an exciting, new position," says Alexander von Uslar.

The Supervisory Board of DAB bank AG will decide on the succession of Mr. von Uslar in the near future.
