Kai Friedrich, Chairman of the Management Board
Since July 2015, Kai Friedrich, born in 1970, is Chairman of the Management Board of DAB Bank AG. He is responsible for the following units: B2C, Products & Services, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Center and Corporate Communications. In his position as Deputy Chairman of BNP Paribas S.A. Group Management Board Germany he is also CEO of Consorsbank. In addition, he is Deputy Head of Personal Investors, the unit within BNP Paribas that DAB Bank and Consorsbank belong to.
Since 1999 Kai Friedrich has been working at Consorsbank in different positions. Amongst others, until 2002 he was the co-founder and CEO of the Paris-based Consors branch. Before he came to Consors, Kai Friedrich already worked for DAB Bank, formerly Direkt Anlage Bank, at last as Head of Customer Service. He studied business administration at Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich.
Niklas Dieterich, Member of the Management Board
Dr. Niklas Dieterich, born 1968, joined DAB bank AG in April 2011 as the Head of Division for Finance & Controlling. Since September 2011 is member of the Management Board, responsible at DAB bank AG for the Finance & Controlling, Operations and IT divisions, the Risk Controlling & Compliance and Internal Audit departments as well as the staff position Legal.
From 2006 to 2011, he was the Head of Division and CFO for Operations & Credit Treasury at UniCredit Bank AG (HypoVereinsbank). Prior to that, Dieterich, an economist and doctor of laws, worked for the Booz Allen Hamilton management consulting firm starting in 1998, where he was a member of management since 2004, responsible for Retail Banking and Asset Management.
Dr. Josef Zellner, Member of the Management Board
Dr. Josef Zellner, born 1965, has been a member of the Management Board of DAB bank since August 2012; in this capacity, he manages the Corporate Clients division (B2B), where he already headed the division since the end of 2007 as Manager. His area of responsibility includes the sales team, key account management, complaint management, securities trading, B2B consulting, and sales development. He joined DAB bank in 2000 as the person in charge of the personnel division.
Before studying economics, Josef Zellner was a police officer for six years. He then managed the credit department and the export department at an industrial company. Before he came to DAB bank, he completed a doctorate at Freiberg Technical University based on New Institutional Economics.
